Kent County Vietnam Veterans Chapter 850 to meet May 18
FREDERICA — Kent County Chapter 850, Vietnam Veterans of America, will host its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Frederica Senior Center.
Chapter 850 is active in the community and includes more than 220 members and 35 associate members.
Among the business to be discussed is the chapter's upcoming Memorial Day Ceremony on May 29 at 2 p.m. at Kent County Veterans Memorial Park.
The park memorializes Kent Countians lost in Vietnam, Korea, and the Middle East. The site is also home to a Gold Star Mother and Family Memorial, a Huey 'Dustoff’ helicopter, a War Dog memorial, and a POW/MIA Chair of Honor.
All Vietnam and era veterans are welcome, whether chapter members or not.
