DOVER — The Delaware State University Concert Choir will celebrate the Christmas season with the performance of “A Soulful Holiday” at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4 in the Education and Humanities Theatre.
The concert is free and open to the public.
“A Soulful Holiday” will feature the University Concert Choir members in large and smaller ensembles and groups performing traditional holiday songs and standards, including selected adaptation of Handel’s “Messiah.”
The event also will include the premiere performance of “The Mistletoe Jam,” which has been recorded by the Concert Choir and will soon be featured in a musical video; two dance performances, and a telling of the story of Kwanzaa.
An orchestra – which will include a mix of regional professional and student musicians – will accompany the singers.
