DOVER — The American Legion, Walter L. Fox Post 2 will hold its annual Fourth of July Parade on Sunday, July 4
Participants are encouraged to enter floats, vehicles or
marching units using the theme “Welcome Back, America” and should be adorned with a patriotic display which reflects one’s passion for the United States of America.
Individuals with a unique talent to include juggling, unicycle riding, stilt walking, balloon animals, clowning, and others are encouraged to participate.
Lineup for the parade will begin at 5 p.m. on Hazel Street in Dover with stepoff at 7. This year’s parade route has been altered and will head south on State Street, make a
left on Loockerman Street, a right on Legislative Avenue and will end at Water Street.
Individuals and organizations who would like to participate should request a participation form from Parade Chairman Bret Scott at bscott853@gmail.com. Forms can also be downloaded here.
Forms should be completed and returned to bscott853@gmail.com or mailed to Walter L. Fox Post 2, Attention: Parade Chairman, 835 S.
Bay Road, Dover, DE 19901. Deadline for submitting participation forms is June 25.
All parade participants are asked to observe standard COVID-19 protocols to include wearing of face coverings and social distancing.
