Two injured in shooting at Dover’s Crystal Loft hookah lounge
DOVER — Two people were shot and four vehicles were struck by gunfire following a large party at the Crystal Loft hookah lounge at 1156 S. Bay Road early Monday.
Master Cpl. Heather Pepper, spokesman for the Delaware State Police, said that an unknown number of suspects shot more than 50 rounds in the parking lots of the lounge and the adjacent Tony’s Auto Repair at around 1:20 a.m.
A 28-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both of Dover, were struck while fleeing the scene in vehicles, Cpl. Pepper said. The victims arrived at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, in Dover via private vehicles, where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
The incident remains under investigation by the DSP Troop 3 Criminal Investigation Unit. There is currently no suspect information available. Anyone with information should contact Detective Jason Sydnor by calling 694-4454.
