Two arrests made in Georgetown home invasion

GEORGETOWN — Two men were arrested in connection with an alleged home invasion on Feb. 22, Georgetown police spokesman Det. Joseph Melvin said.

Brandon Gibbs, 19, of Harrington, and Jahiem Godwin, 18, of Blades, were taken into custody following investigation into an incident at a residence on Tranquility Lane, authorities said.

The men were both charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree home invasion, second-degree assault, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching.

Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Godwin were both committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $210,110 and $147,000 cash bail, respectively.

Two other men were arrested earlier in the case and charged with the same offenses, according to police.
