FELTON — Two men were arrested Monday on multiple charges for numerous thefts and burglaries, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.

According to police, the incidents occurred in residences under construction in the Felton area, beginning in the middle of September. During each, numerous building materials were stolen.

On Monday, police said, two suspects were observed on video surveillance loading lumber into a dark-colored truck. As a DSP detective responded to the scene, the vehicle was observed driving in the area. A traffic stop was conducted and contact made with the driver, Irvin B. Golt of Viola, and the passenger, Jason C. Schuyler of Felton. Both were taken into custody without incident.

The men were charged with third-degree burglary (three counts), theft of $1,500 or greater (two counts), second-degree conspiracy (two counts), theft under $1,500, selling stolen property, third-degree criminal trespassing (two counts) and third-degree conspiracy. They were arraigned in a Justice of the Peace Court and released on unsecured bonds, Mr. Golt for $13,700 and Mr. Schuyler for $9,100.
