DOVER — A 17-year-old male was arrested in connection with a Friday shooting at Schutte Park, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
The youth was taken into custody without incident during a Monday afternoon traffic stop, authorities said. The youth had been identified as a suspect, and warrants had been obtained.
Charges against the teen include first-degree reckless endangering (three counts), possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief under $1,000.
The youth was committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center, Milford, on a $38,000 secured bond.
Sgt. Hoffman said shots fired Friday around 4 p.m. damaged a parked vehicle on Electric Avenue. An investigation found the shots were fired from a vehicle that pulled behind two stationary cars.
Multiple rounds were fired, and one vehicle was struck in the trunk area, police added. No injuries were reported.
