Slaughter Beach topic of 2nd Friday

MILFORD — The 2nd Friday event, taking place this week at 7 p.m., will be on the history of Slaughter Beach.

Learn about the area's history, while hearing about connecting people who have memories of the beach with the still-forming Slaughter Beach historical group.

Individuals with memories, photos, newspaper clippings or other artifacts of Slaughter Beach are especially encouraged to participate.

Presenters will include Dr. Joanne Plescia, Diane McFaul Hindman, Dr. Jackson Gingrich, Linda White, Dr. Stephen Heyse and Milford historian Dave Kenton, who is an adviser to the group along with the Milford Museum.

This event will done using Zoom. To register, send an email to 2ndfriday.milford@gmail.com. Zoom invitations will be sent the morning of the event.

Second Friday is hosted by First Presbyterian Church of Milford and is family-friendly. This event is a collaboration with the Milford Museum and the Slaughter Beach historical group.
