A bankruptcy judge has conditionally approved a settlement in the suit against Oxy-Contin maker Purdue Pharma in a deal that left many unhappy. If approved, the Sackler family would pay $4.5 billion and give up ownership of the company, and that money plus company profits would be put toward treatment and education programs. How should Delaware use funds it may receive in the settlement to help those with opioid addiction?
