MILFORD — The deadline to file for the Milford office of mayor and/or city council is Feb. 22 at 4:30 p.m. Along with the office of mayor, four city council seats are up for vote.

All candidates filing a nomination petition must do so 60 days prior to the election. Mayor petitions must be signed by at least 10 registered voters in the city of Milford, and Council petitions must be signed by at least 10 registered voters residing in the ward in which the candidate resides. This includes the incumbents for all positions, which the city will know are running for reelection or not by the filing deadline.

Candidate packets and nominating petitions can be obtained Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the City Clerk’s Office at Milford City Hall, 201 S. Walnut St., Milford. Special times can be arranged if called in advance to schedule an appointment.
