Five arrests made following drug investigation in Dover

DOVER — Two adults and three juvenile males were arrested following and investigation into alleged drug sales from a residence in the 400 block of Barrister Place.

Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said officers executed a search warrant at 1:11 p.m. on Wednesday. Daquan Watson, 21, and Jamia Brooks, 20, were taken into custody without incident.

During a search of the residence, officers located three handguns, nine MDMA pills, 1.5 grams of powdered MDMA, 127.9 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Mr. Watson was charged with illegal gang participation, possession of firearm by person prohibited (two counts), and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $25,000 secured bond.

Ms. Brooks was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $25,000 secured bond.

The youths, two age 16 and another age 15, were all charged with illegal gang participation, possession of firearm by person prohibited and other offenses. They were all committed to a juvenile detention centers on bonds ranging from $15,500 to $17,500.
