DOVER — A 39-year-old Dover woman was charged with a fifth-offense DUI after a Thursday traffic incident in the area of South State Street and U.S. 13, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
According to authorities, Cassandra Sharp was driving a vehicle that traveled through a median and nearly caused a collision with other vehicles at approximately 4:24 p.m. She allegedly showed signs of impairment when contacted by officers and refused all sobriety tests, Sgt. Hoffman said. Police said a cup containing an alcoholic beverage was found inside the vehicle.
Ms. Sharp was also charged with driving while suspended and traffic offenses. She was released on a $3,501 unsecured bond.
