DOVER — A 29-year-old man was arrested on drug and firearm charges following a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

Tyreese Payne was initially found in possession of packaging materials commonly used for heroin while in a vehicle, police said.

An ensuing search warrant execution at his hotel room at the Dover Inn led to the discovery of a loaded .22 revolver reported stolen out of Delaware State Police Troop 3, Sgt. Hoffman said. Also found were .9 grams of crack cocaine, .007 grams of heroin, .3 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Mr. Payne was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, receiving stolen firearm, possession of firearm/ammunition by person prohibited (three counts), possession with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, and drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $123,600 cash bond.
