Dover residence struck by gunfire

DOVER — A residence was struck by gunfire early Monday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

Several rounds penetrated the home in the 100 block of Spruance Road, according to authorities. Sgt. Hoffman said officers were called to the scene at approximately 12:28 a.m.

An adult female and two children were inside the home at the time, Sgt. Hoffman said, but no injuries were reported.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call 736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or here; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
