DOVER — There were few incidents requiring law enforcement’s attention at this year’s Firefly Music Festival, authorities said Tuesday.
The event ran from Thursday through Sunday at the Woodlands, near Dover International Speedway, drawing about 50,000 attendees who predominately stayed out of trouble, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
“We saw less incidents than in previous years,” he said.
Police removed “a few disorderly people from the premises,” Sgt. Hoffman added. There were also minor thefts reported, including perhaps two dozen cellphones that went missing.
Dover officers were supported throughout the weekend by Delaware State Police and municipal agencies. Duties included traffic control and campground patrols, along with performance area security.
