DOVER — The Dover Century Club will hold a meeting and holiday luncheon beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 at its clubhouse at 40, The Green in Dover. The meeting will feature a presentation on the LYTE (Leading Youth Through Empowerment) program by Director of Development and Finance Sean Boyd. LYTE strives to change the academic trajectory of under-represented youth by preparing middle school students to attend rigorous high school programs and colleges. The clubhouse will be decorated for the Christmas season, and members will celebrate with a festive luncheon of quiche, finger sandwiches and sweets.
Members are asked to bring a monetary gift for donation to the Salvation Army to help fund programs for local families in need. The club invites women interested in joining the club to call 302-674-3775, leave a message and the membership chairman will return your call.
