Century Club supports People’s Place SAFE Program

Posted

DOVER — At a recent meeting highlighting Domestic Violence Awareness month, the Dover Century Club welcomed Stacy Mitchell, housing and employment coordinator, and Molly McElroy, hotline coordinator who presented information on People’s Place SAFE (Shelter Advocacy Freedom & Empowerment) Program.

Through the SAFE program, People’s Place offers safety planning, support and emergency shelters in Kent and Sussex Counties for victims of domestic violence. Club members donated flashlights, an important resource for victims of domestic violence, to the program.

The donation supports the General Federation of Women’s Clubs Signature Program: Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention.
