DOVER — A 31-year-old Camden man was arrested on weapons and related charges following a physical altercation Thursday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.
According to authorities, Kurt Ruffin allegedly wielded a knife that cut an acquaintance during what began as a verbal dispute at a residence on Harriet Street. Police were called to the scene at approximately 2:25 p.m. and found the wounded person bleeding from a laceration to an upper extremity.
After the stabbing, according to police, Mr. Ruffin left the area in a vehicle with another person. He was contacted, instructed to respond to Troop 3 and complied.
Mr. Ruffin was charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, second-degree assault and terroristic threatening. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and issued an $8,500 unsecured bond.
The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released.
