Backpack giveaway will be held Sunday at Delaware cellular stores
On Sunday, nearly 750 The Cellular Connection and Wireless Zone stores nationwide will donate more than 140,000 backpacks full of school supplies to children as part of the School Rocks Backpack Giveaway.
Between 1-4 p.m. Sunday, families can pick up backpacks and supplies at participating TCC stores in Delaware. Each store will donate up to 150 backpacks on a first-come, first-served basis.
Backpacks will be filled with pencils, paper, a pencil box, folders, glue and more, TCC said. Since the beginning of the event in 2013, TCC has donated 1.2 million backpacks to children across the U.S.
Participating area stores include:
- 386 Walmart Drive, Unit 5, Camden.
- 239 N. Dupont Highway, Smyrna.
- 401 College Park Lane, Unit 4, Georgetown.
- 28665 Dupont Blvd., Millsboro.
- 37156 Rehoboth Ave. Extended, Rehoboth Beach.
- 31010 Thornton Blvd., Delmar.
