DOVER — AT&T customers and FirstNet subscribers in Dover recently received a boost in wireless connectivity, with AT&T opening a new cell site to enhance mobile broadband coverage and help give residents and first responders faster and more reliable wireless service.
This new site will boost coverage and capacity in the city of Dover on and around the Bayhealth Hospital and surrounding neighborhoods, businesses and state government buildings.
It also includes Band 14 spectrum, a nationwide, high-quality spectrum set aside by the government specifically for FirstNet. FirstNet is the only such broadband communications platform dedicated to and specifically built for America’s first responders and the extended public safety community. It is built with AT&T in public-private partnership with the federal government.
