DOVER — A 42-year-old Dover man was arrested following an investigation into an alleged assault that left a man with serious injuries Wednesday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.
Authorities said troopers were initially called to a residence on New Jersey Drive at approximately 6:57 p.m., where they found a 44-year-old man lying at the end of his driveway with injuries to his face.
DSP said an investigation found that the injured man had been riding in a vehicle after leaving a wedding, then was allegedly punched a number of times by David T. Harmon and dragged from the vehicle. Cpl. Pepper said Mr. Harmon then left the area.
The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital via ambulance, DSP said.
On Thursday, Mr. Harmon was taken into custody without incident by troopers at the DSP State Bureau of Identification, Dover
Mr. Harmon was arraigned in a Justice of the Peace Court and charged with second-degree assault, police said. He was issued a $10,000 unsecured bond and released.
