Arrest made in Dover shooting

DOVER — An 18-year-old Dover man was arrested in connection with an Aug. 22 shooting in the parking lot of White Oak Condos, authorities said.

Hector Gonzalez turned himself in to the Dover Police Department on Wednesday, spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said. Warrants had been obtained for his arrest.

Mr. Gonzalez was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree reckless endangering and criminal mischief. He was released after posting a $53,500 secured bond.

During the incident, a 28-year-old man was shot in the head while riding in a vehicle at approximately 10:34 p.m. He was transported to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus in Dover in stable condition, authorities said at the time.
