MILFORD – The Milford Garden Club selects a property each month from May to November, if the weather operates, as the Garden of the Month.

For the month of August, they have selected Rogers Funeral Home on 301 Lakeview Ave in Milford. The home was built around 1895 and was purchased by John Rogers and became the funeral home.

In 2017, the property was turned into both a residence and business. They have worked on the yard by reestablishing the lawn, planting and creating beautiful, serene area including a small pond with a fountain and gazebo.

Numerous urns and pots placed throughout add wonderful touches of color both on the porch and throughout the yard. Shades of red, pink and white vinca dominate the landscape.

Roses, oak leaf hydrangeas, tall red cannas and other flowers along with crepe myrtle trees and holly add both interest and beauty to the landscape.
