Sussex County adds $800k to dredging project

GEORGETOWN — During its regular meeting earlier this month, the Sussex County Council decided to support the ongoing Fenwick Island dredging project to the tune of $800,000.

The deal will be based upon a memorandum of understanding to be executed between the county and town, Todd Lawson, county administrator said.

The project will clear two boating channels in little Assawoman Bay, costing a little more than $2 million.
