Milton Theatre launches comprehensive Student Apprenticeship Studies program

MILTON — The Milton Theatre announces the launch of its Student Apprenticeship Studies program, a year-round intensive designed for students aspiring to pursue theatre in higher education.

This initiative offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development through three distinct components:

  • Theatre for Young Audiences (June): Participants can perform or apply for creative and technical roles in productions tailored for young audiences. This segment allows students to earn community service hours while learning to connect with their community.
  • Practicum Experience (July): Students are paired with industry professionals from the "West Side Story" cast or camp staff, providing firsthand insight into the theatre industry.
  • Mainstage Production (August): Participants can audition for or apply for creative and technical roles in the "High School Musical" production, gaining experience in a full-scale show.

The application process mirrors that of arts college admissions, offering students a unique opportunity to practice and receive guidance in applying to theatre programs. Participants can apply for the entire program or select individual components based on their schedule.

The Student Apprenticeship Studies program is ideal for students seeking to build their resumes, gain real-world theatre experience, and enhance their college applications.

Applications are now open. For more information and to apply, visit miltontheatre.com or email education@miltontheatre.com.
