Cover crop cost-share application open in Kent County

DOVER — The annual registration period for the Kent Conservation District’s Cover Crop Cost-Share Program — funded in part by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control — has opened and will continue through August.

The initiative provides Kent County farmers assistance to offset seed, labor and equipment costs when planting fall cover crops, which protect water quality, build healthy soil and capture carbon from the atmosphere.
