 Friday Night Live: Young Voices

  The Dorchester Center for the Arts announces a new concert series for its first floor Gallery Stage. Friday Night Live: Young Voices will begin on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. Opening the series is Emma Myers and Sam Pugh. Tickets for the event are $10 for DCA members and $12 for non-members. Second Saturday reception this weekend Annual Members Show and Sale 2015

  The Dorchester Center for the Arts Annual Members Show and Sale is now underway. The show runs through Feb. 28 and is sponsored by 1880 Bank. An artists’ reception will be held on Feb. 14 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Stop in to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award winner. The show has been judged and DCA is pleased to announce three of the seven ribbon winners at this time. Selected as the “Most Creative” is a painting by Robert Manning, entitled “Sand for the Mix.” Winning “Best in Show” is Ann Albeury-Hocks painting, “Farm House in Field.” Carla Huber’s painting, “Last of the Season” has been chosen as the “Best Depiction of Dorchester County.” Additional awards will be announced on Saturday.
