B&E and theft
HURLOCK — On Feb. 21, deputies from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s office responded to 4445 Waddell’s Corner Road, Hurlock, for a reported Breaking and Entering and theft.
Upon arrival deputies were advised that during the night an unknown person had broken into several outbuildings and had removed items valued at over $5,000. The investigation revealed that a Chainsaw, 1 pair of rubber boots and a Polaris UTV had been taken.
Deputies working with officers from the Hurlock Police Department were able to track the Polaris from the scene across fields and into a yard in Hurlock where the unit was hidden. The investigation resulted in the recovery of the items and the arrest of James Michael Fisher Jr., 28 of 302 North Main St., Apartment B, Hurlock.
He was charged with second degree burglary, theft over $500, trespassing on posted property and being a rogue and vagabond. He was ordered held without bond.

Intent to distribute
EASTON — On Jan. 17, at about 6:45 p.m., Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Black Dog Alley near Dover Road for a moving violation. Deputies identified the driver as David A. Evans, 51 of Federalsburg.
During the initial contact with Deputies, Evans admitted to being in possession of a controlled substance. Deputies located a prescription pill bottle in Evans’ pants pocket containing 30 oxycodone pills. Deputies determined the prescription was for another individual and had been filled that day for 84 pills.
Evans was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to distribute a narcotic, possession of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia. Evans was transported to central booking at the Talbot County Detention Center and released on his personal recognizance by a District Court Commissioner.

Fire under investigation
FEDERALSBURG — At 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 11, the Federalsburg Police Department responded to a malicious burning at 210 Brooklyn Ave.
The fire discovered by the homeowner, Patricia Deangelis was to a chicken coop and green house. The fire originated in the interior of the chicken coop and green house.
No response was needed by the fire department and there have been no arrests at this tsime.
The preliminary cause of incendiary is under investigation. No estimated loss was given.

Search & Seizure
CAMBRIDGE — On Feb. 15, members of the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office along with members of the Cambridge Police Department executed a Search & Seizure Warrant at 2339 Hudson Road, Apartment 306, Cambridge.
Upon entry the target of the investigation Albert Jerome Ricks, 49, of that address and Mar Shon Ryshay Jolley, 29, also of that address were located inside of the residence.
The search revealed crack cocaine, under 10 grams of marijuana and paraphernalia. Ricks was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, failure to obey a lawful order and disorderly conduct. Jolley was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.
Both suspects were released pending action by the District Court.

Cocaine possession
TRAPPE — On Feb. 16, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Main Street in Trappe for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Norman Randolph Copper Jr., 44 of Easton, and a passenger was identified as Natasha Tonette Copper, 40 of Trappe.
Deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle and were able to locate cocaine and marijuana.
Norman Copper was issued traffic citations for driving on a revoked license and released on his signature.
Natasha Copper was placed under arrest and charged with possession of cocaine. Natasha Copper was taken to Talbot County Central Booking where she was later released by the District Court Commissioner on personal recognizance.

CDS Arrest
TRAPPE — On Feb. 22, Deputies from the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office stopped a motor vehicle on Ocean Gateway near Howell Point Road for a moving violation.
Deputies identified the driver as Alicia K. Parker, 41 of Easton. A K-9 unit from the Cambridge Police Department responded and performed a scan of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for the presence of a controlled substance. A search of the vehicle resulted in locating Suboxone prescription pills and Suboxone sublingual strips.
Parker was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to Talbot County Central Booking. Parker was seen by a District Court Commissioner who released her on her personal recognizance.
