Delawareans awake to rare snow this morning

MIDDLETOWN - Delawareans awoke to find snow on the ground this morning, which was quite an usual sight.

The National Weather Service reported that in Kent County 0.6 inches fell in Smyrna, along with 0.5 each in Clayton and Woodside.

In Sussex County, 0.5 inches was recorded in Milton, 0.4 in Millsboro, and 0.3 in Lewes.

In New Castle County, 0.4 fell at the airport and Newport, along with 0.3 in Newark.

The National Weather Service said that it's only official tracking site in Delaware, only a trace had been recorded prior to the most recent snow.
