SALISBURY – In its second year, Coastal Hospice’s “Honor an Angel” fundraising campaign raised more than double the 2020 amount, surpassing $65,000.

The month-long program, which concluded July 31, allowed community members to share stories of “angels” in their lives by expressing love, respect and appreciation for family members, friends or special people while supporting Coastal Hospice.

“We are very grateful for the continued support of our community as we shifted several fundraising events to virtual campaigns over the past 18 months due to COVID-19,” Tammy Patrick, director of advancement, said in a prepared statement. “While many Coastal Hospice patients are covered by Medicare, we also serve those with limited resources or whose needs extend beyond their insurance coverage. We are so thankful to our 2021 Honor an Angel sponsors and donors for their dedication to our cause.”

The 2021 Honor an Angel campaign raised $65,248.62 for Stansell House and patient charity care.
