CAMBRIDGE — On Oct. 14 at approximately 3:10 p.m., Cambridge Police responded to the area of Cross Street and Schoolhouse Lane in reference to shots fired.

Officers canvassed the area and met with a subject who advised that, while inside their residence, they heard five to six shots outside. They then realized that one of the bullets had come through their residence, however, no one was injured.

Shortly after, officers then were called to the emergency room in reference to an adult male who had walked in with a gunshot to the buttocks area. Detectives responded to the hospital, at which time the victim said that he was walking on Cross Street when he heard gun shots.

The victim said he took off running and then realized that he had been shot. The victim advised that he had no idea of any possible suspects. He was treated and later released.
