CAMBRIDGE - The George B. Todd Performance Hall at DCA is filled with a fiber arts exhibition titled “A World of Textiles.” This show is the final exhibit in a three-part series presented by Brown Quilters Create and Educate, a Facebook group for quilters and fiber artists. Their mission is to provide a community for members to participate in swaps and sew-alongs as well as to offer classes taught by member volunteers. Their motto, “each one teach one” has created a fun and exciting fellowship.

Deborah Johnson, group member from Washington, D.C., organized the show, which runs through April 30. Items on exhibit include one-of-a-kind handcrafted wearables, tote bags, quilts, wall hangings, pillows, dolls and baskets featuring a variety of fabrics and techniques. Many of the items are also for sale.

A Second Saturday Artists’ Reception will be held April 9 from 5-7 p.m., with refreshments and live music. Admission is free and all are welcome.

April also features the opening of the new production by Groove Theatre Company titled “The Wolves,” a play by Sarah DeLappe, directed for Groove by Izzy Clemens. The play centers on the experiences of high school girls as they go through their weekly Saturday morning pre-game soccer warmups. This play was a finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. All shows are in the George B. Todd Performance Hall at DCA.
