WWII Veteran honored on his 100th birthday

Decorated World War II Veteran Tom Anderson received tributes on his 100th birthday, Feb. 2, from Gov. John Carney’s office, both houses of the legislature, the City of Dover, and the Modern Maturity Center. He also received cards and gifts from a number of people, including a coin from the Vietnam Veterans of America, and a patriotic scarf from the Delaware Veterans Coalition. Mr. Anderson was part of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, better known as the "Ghost Army."
