VFW Scout of the Year scholarship available to Delaware students
The Veterans of Foreign Wars is accepting candidates for its Scout of the Year scholarship competition.
Individuals who are registered, active members of a Boy or Girl Scout troop, a Venturing Crew or a Sea Scout ship who have received the Eagle Scout award, Girl Scout Gold Award, Venturing Summit rank or Sea Scout Quartermaster Award are eligible.
Local, state and national scholarships are available, with the top Scout being awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
The deadline for entry at the local level is March 1.
