Avelo Airlines’ inaugural flight from Wilmington Airport took to the skies heading to Florida on Feb. 1. The airline has set up a base of operations with 50 crewmembers operating and maintaining a Boeing 737 jet and is offering flights to the Florida cities of Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach, with low, introductory one-way fares.
