Millsboro man arrested after vehicle pursuit

REHOBOTH BEACH - Terence C. Savage, 34, of Millsboro, was arrested Tuesday night for charges relating to drug distribution, resisting arrest, and traffic violations following a short vehicle pursuit that ended in a property damage collision, Rehoboth Beach police said.

Police said Mr. Savage was driving a vehicle that struck another at the intersection of Christian Street and Rehoboth Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. Police had pursued Mr. Savage’s vehicle for less than a mile since it was found to be displaying a fictitious Delaware registration plate.

No injuries resulted from the incident and both vehicles involved in the collision resulted in functional property damage only.

Mr. Savage was charged with felony disregarding a police officer’s signal and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 1 quantity. Misdemeanor charges, among others, included resisting arrest and possession of marijuana other than for personal use. He was also charged with multiple traffic violations. Mr. Savage was presented before the Justice of the Peace Court 3 for a bail hearing and committed to the Department of Correction in lieu of $7,150 secured bail.
