Long Neck Holiday Stroll set for Saturday

Posted

MILLSBORO - The Long Neck Sunrise Rotary Club and Silicato Development will sponsor its second “Community Holiday Stroll” event at Taormina Square, the retail shopping center on Del. 24 and Silicato Drive in Long Neck Dec. 10 from noon to 5 p.m.

This year’s event will once again feature complimentary food and beverage samples by participating restaurants and product offerings by retailers but now also features free photos with Santa from 1-4 p.m. with face painting of children waiting for their photo taking, caroling by local church and school choirs, a “fairy hair’ station, a raffle drawing for gift cards and baskets, and much more.

All will be done within an “open house” environment and, although the event is free, visitors are encouraged to provide a $10 donation per household to be given to the Oak Orchard Boys and Girls Club. Boxes for donations will be positioned at tables along Silicato Drive and within some of the restaurants and shops.

In addition to photos with Santa and caroling, a significant addition to this year’s event is the Holiday Raffle. Attendees will be provided with a Holiday Raffle Passport featuring logos of each of the square’s businesses – Brick Works, Two Meatballs, Yellowfins, Maggie’s Pet Boutique, Blooming Boutique, Treasures, Bayside Gifts, Nails at Taormina, My Ceramics, Vogue on 24 and NovaCare.

They will be asked to visit each of the locations and have their passport stamped at each location where they can enjoy the complimentary food and other products and services offered. Once the card is completely stamped, attendees will deposit the card at the donation stations throughout the shopping center. The winners will be drawn at 5 p.m. One need not be present to win.
