Camden-Wyoming Blue picked up an 11-5 victory over Felton in the first round of District I Little League’s Deak Deakins baseball tournament on Saturday evening.
C-W Blue next faces Smyrna-Clayton Red on Sunday at 6 p.m. in Harrington.
In Saturday’s win, C-W Blue used a six-run fourth inning to take control. Eli Baughman (3 RBI), Luke Street (2 RBI) and Lucas King all had multiple hits for Camden-Wyoming Blue.
Felton scored three runs in the fifth after getting hits from Kaleb Young, Nathan Freese, and Sean Fetzer.
MOT-Blue 4, Smyrna-Clayton 3: The Middletown squad advanced in the tourney, where it will take on MOT-Red today at 7 p.m. at Harrington.
MOT-Blue trailed 3-0 in the fourth inning before scoring the game’s final four runs. Liam Roop (2-for-2) hit an inside-the-park home run.
Patrick Atkinson hit a double in the bottom of the sixth and Jackson Beard ended the game with a walkoff single one batter later. Cole Brown and Chris Belcher added doubles for MOT Blue.
For Smyrna-Clayton White, Carter Luczak and Hunter Ross each had two hits, with Conor Maher, A. High and Hunter Ross all contributing doubles.

7-9 Machine Pitch
Felton-Harrington 17, Dover 7: Felton-Harrington won its opener in the District I tournament.
Felton-Harrington, which faces MOT today at 3 p.m. in Felton, was paced by Peyton Eastman (3-for-4, homer, 2 doubles), Zury Tescone (4-for-4, triple), Abby Sokalski (4-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI) and Briley Forkum (3-for-4, double, 2 RBI).
Smyrna-Clayton 18, Camden-Wyoming Gold 8: S-C’s Little Lass squad moved onto the tourney semifinals with the victory on Saturday.
Smyrna-Clayton takes on Camden-Wyoming Blue today at 6 p.m. at Felton.
Bristol Massey hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning for Smyrna-Clayton. All of S-C’s 11 players got at least one hit while Aubrey Butcher went 4-for-4.
