‘From Selma to Stonewall’ screening set in Lewes

LEWES — A free screening and discussion of “From Selma to Stonewall” will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalists of Southern Delaware facility, 30486 Lewes Georgetown Highway.

The film features the Rev. Gil Caldwell, a straight Black preacher and civil rights advocate, and Marilyn Bennett, a lesbian White author and activist, who form an unusual bond as they seek the intersection between their respective equality movements.

The Delaware Human and Civil Rights Commission and the American Civil Liberties Union Delaware have secured the movie and arranged for facilitated discussions.
