DOVER — The Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonel John Haslet Chapter of Dover is promoting Constitution Week with a display at the Dover Public Library and a proclamation from Dover Mayor Robin R. Christiansen declaring Sept.17-23 as Constitution Week in the city.
Each year during Constitution Week, the Chapter educates Delawareans on the importance of protecting, defending, and preserving the Constitution.
The Dover Public Library display features a copy of the U.S. Constitution and information on Delaware’s role in the formation of our country by being the first state to ratify the new federal constitution on Dec. 7, 1787.
