GEORGETOWN — The inaugural Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race was held at Georgetown Speedway way back in 1951.
This year’s event, on Oct. 1, is returning to its racing roots, as Delaware State Police is moving the popular fundraiser to Georgetown’s half-mile track from the dirt oval at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, its venue for nearly five decades.
