Auxiliary Unit 28's MLK Day of Service benefits at-risk students

MILLSBORO – American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 welcomes the public to join their Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023.

The theme is “One Nation, One Dream.” 

Unit 28 will be collecting hygiene products for the at-risk and students in transition at the community schools. The public can join the event by donating either goods or cash and by packing the collected items on MLK Day from 10 a.m. to noon at the American Legion Post 28, located at 31768 Legion Road east of Millsboro.

Items needed include: towels, washcloths, fleece blankets, bar soap, soap holders, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes and holders, men and women deodorant, and mouthwash. 

Donations can be dropped off at the Auxiliary’s office at Post 28 no later than Wednesday, Jan. 11, or by contacting Sue at (717) 808-5136 or June at (484) 571-9214 for additional support.
