Arrest made in Millsboro assault case

MILLSBORO - Tracy Hurley, 52, of Laurel, was arrested after investigation into an assault Friday, Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said.

Cpl. DeMalto said that at approximately 7:47 p.m., troopers responded to the Cadia Healthcare Renaissance nursing home at 26002 John J. Williams Highway regarding an assault. The subsequent investigation revealed that Ms. Hurley had been involved in a confrontation with a 41-year-old female coworker in the parking lot, police said.

According to police, Ms. Hurley physically assaulted the coworkere, who was later treated at an area hospital for significant injuries.

Ms. Hurley was charged with second-degree assault. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and was released on her own recognizance.
