Posted

WILMINGTON — The New Castle County Council will meet in a hybrid format Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a number of ordinances.

According to the meeting agenda, two proposals will be introduced to the council. The first would amend County Code to establish a protected open-space zoning district, while the second would amend the county’s budget for fiscal year 2023 by appropriating $60,000 from the general fund tax stabilization reserve account to the Department of County Executive for funding strategic advisory services.

In addition, a number of resolutions will be considered, including the authorization of a subaward agreement with the Health Federation of Philadelphia, the authorization of a contract with Rave Wireless for software for the Division of Emergency Communications and amending the council’s procedural rules regarding grant accounts.

Previously introduced ordinances scheduled for consideration include amending the grants budget in various ways and amending the fiscal year 2023 operating budget to transfer funding from grants to the contractual services budget line item of the Department of Community Resources.

The meeting will be held in the Louis L. Redding City/County Building, 800 N. French St., Wilmington. Attend virtually here, where an opportunity to comment will be available.
