Arrest made in Seaford shooting incident

SEAFORD - Trumaine M. Lofland, 21, of Harrington, was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting incident on Feb. 11, authorities said.

According to Seaford police Deputy Chief Michael Rapa, the arrest stemmed from an incident at Meadowbridge Apartments involving multiple persons shooting at each other.

Mr. Lofland was taken into custody without incident after a traffic stop in the area of Dollar General on Stein Highway, police said.

Mr. Lofland was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree attempted assault, first-degree reckless endangering, and criminal mischief under $1,000. He was arraigned at Superior Court and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $25,000 cash bail.
