Polar Bears set another cool record in Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH --The Lewes Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Delaware made a big splash again this year.

A record 4,416 people registered to take the dip in the 37-degree Atlantic Ocean in Rehoboth Beach Sunday.

The air temperature was 41 degrees.

More than $1.2 million was raised to benefit the thousands of athletes who participate in Special Olympics Delaware.
