MIDDLETOWN — The owner of the town’s new Outback Steakhouse is enamored with living in the area and believes his eatery’s selections will please his neighbors.
Niko Plagianakos, who opened the establishment Tuesday, said, “We’re always trying to take care of the community with affordable pricing, good-quality food and a good dining experience.”
Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce executive director Michelle Hummel shared that thought at a Wednesday ribbon cutting.
“This is a beautiful establishment, and we’re so glad to have you here,” she said.
True to its name, Mr. Plagianakos added that Outback’s specialty is his favorite choice.
“What I really love is our steaks. We have the best-quality steaks you can get, with really awesome flavors,” he noted. “You can’t go wrong by adding that lobster tail on and the (Sydney) Shrooms we have.”
Upon opening, the Middletown location displayed its commitment to community by donating a combined $7,627.01 to Autism Delaware and Warriors Helping Warriors. Mr. Plagianakos is a U.S. Army combat veteran.
The 503 Merrimac Ave. restaurant serves Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
