Excellence in Education awards Kent County's Green Beret Project

Annual event attracts business, education leaders

A Dover mentorship program for at-risk kids was awarded $15,000 last week to create a small business that gives teens work experience.

And, as the Green Beret Project accepted its Excellence in Education grant Thursday, the nonprofit also revealed its first major order completed with the funding: custom-made shirts from their student-operated printing business.
