WILMINGTON — The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition (DBCC) announces its upcoming In the Loop: An Education Series event, focusing on the critical issue of The Financial Toxicity of Breast Cancer.
This virtual session will feature Courtney Jones, Senior Director of Case Management for the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF), and will take place from 6-8 p.m. March 27.
"Financial toxicity," the term used to describe the significant financial burdens faced by cancer patients and their families due to treatment costs, is a pressing concern for those navigating a breast cancer diagnosis. This free event aims to provide attendees with valuable insights and resources to help alleviate this burden.
Ms. Jones oversees all aspects of the case management department, ensuring quality service and compliance with contractual obligations. Her experience includes developing quality assurance standards, enhancing operational efficiency, and co-authoring numerous publications.
Ms. Jones said, “As a senior director with a deep passion for empowering others, I am honored to share insights that can help transform the breast cancer journey. My mission is to provide not only knowledge but also practical tools to navigate this challenging experience. Personally, this cause is incredibly important to me because I've seen firsthand how the right support, education, and resources can make a profound difference in outcomes and quality of life.”
"We are thrilled to welcome Courtney Jones to our In the Loop series," said Meridith Rothstein, Survivorship Specialist of the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. "Her expertise and dedication to patient advocacy will provide invaluable support to those facing the financial challenges associated with breast cancer treatment."
