SALISBURY—A breezy bustle of activity filled the halls for the March 7 return of Thrive Salisbury – Senior Life After 55. The 2025 senior lifestyle event brought exhibitors, music and activities, presented by Salisbury Independent/ BayToBayNews.com in partnership with Lakeside at Mallard Landing.

Active seniors could explore, learn and enjoy this free event. Vendors shared expert knowledge and free demos in health, finance, home services and more to help adults plan for the future—or enjoy today.

Entertainment included the musical stylings of DJ Robert Helgeson and by Cup Of Joe Entertainment. Guests enjoyed door prize gift baskets from vendors, plus afternoon Bingo games with prizes.

Wicomico Public Library showed off their incredible range of services, from ancestry research to gardening lectures to computer help to a new Memory Lab for digitizing old media like photos, reel-to-reel tapes and vinyl records. “We’re a public library, so we’re serving our whole community, all ages … so we offer a wide variety in our programing and services,” said Kelly Neuharth Porter. “We just want people to have a variety of information.”

Amanda Fooks led a stretching demo to help people practice moving their limbs and build strength. “If that leg is strong enough to catch you, then you’re not going down [if you trip or lose your balance]” she said.

Guests could also take tours of the neighborhood. “It’s always fun here,” said resident Barbara Benton.

Event sponsors who make this day possible include Chesapeake Health Care and ClearCaptions.
